To mark our very first Christmas at Sandmere Care Home, we have been delighted to host our Yuletide Coffee Mornings every Wednesday throughout December. These special gatherings have been thoughtfully organised to provide an opportunity for family members, prospective residents, local organisations, and members of the wider community to come together, explore our home, and experience the warmth and hospitality that makes Sandmere such a welcoming place.
Our very first coffee morning was a tremendous success, drawing a wonderful mix of guests, including current residents’ families and those considering Sandmere as a future home for their loved ones. Visitors were warmly greeted by our dedicated staff and enjoyed a festive spread featuring freshly brewed tea and coffee, along with delicious homemade mince pies prepared by our talented kitchen team. Laughter, conversation, and the gentle hum of Christmas cheer filled the room as everyone relaxed, mingled, and enjoyed each other’s company.
The purpose of our mornings goes beyond sharing mince pies and hot drinks—it’s about fostering connection, building trust, and showcasing the exceptional care and facilities we provide here at Sandmere. By opening our doors in this way, we’ve been able to offer families and local organisations a chance to see first-hand the homely environment we have created, while also helping our residents feel part of the wider community.
