Dementia Care FAQs

Before moving to Sandmere Care Home, we organise a meeting with our Home Manager, the potential resident, and their loved ones to ensure we can address their unique needs. During this process, we collaborate to comprehend their routines, interests, and preferences, which are then incorporated into their customised care plans. Our approach to care is person-centered, with the aim of assisting residents in maintaining their independence and dignity, while reassuring them that we are always available to provide support whenever needed.

At Sandmere Care Home, we prioritise the continuous training and development of all our staff. We are dedicated to ensuring that our team possesses the experience and knowledge to deliver effective care to residents with dementia. This covers comprehensive support in areas such as personal care, engagement in activities, therapy, communication, mobility assistance, medication management, and beyond.
