Enjoying The Garden This Spring At Sandmere

With the arrival of the milder weather, many residents have been enjoying spending more time out in the garden. It has been wonderful to see the outdoor space being used for both relaxation and activity, with residents making the most of the fresh air, sunshine and peaceful surroundings here in Kent.

A special thank you goes to resident Jim and his family for their continued hard work and dedication in helping to care for the garden. Thanks to their efforts, we have once again been able to enjoy a selection of seasonal vegetables, which are used by our kitchen team in freshly prepared meals for residents to enjoy. The flowers planted throughout the garden have also added plenty of colour and have helped attract local wildlife, creating a welcoming and lively outdoor space for everyone.
Gardening activities have now been added to our regular activity schedule and have already proved popular with residents. Sessions include planting flowers, decorating pots and spending time together outdoors in a calm and enjoyable setting.

If you would like to support our gardening activities, donations of small plant pots or seeds are always warmly welcomed. Thank you to everyone who helps us keep our garden a bright and enjoyable space for residents to relax, socialise and spend time outdoors together.
