ZooLab Visits Sandmere With A Few Animal Friends

Sandmere Care Home recently enjoyed a memorable visit from ZooLab, bringing an unforgettable hands‑on animal experience to our residents. The afternoon brought curiosity and excitement as residents met a variety of fascinating creatures and learned more about their habits and natural environments. The animals included a giant and a gerbil amongst others.

The session encouraged everyone to get involved, whether by gently handling some of the animals or watching them up close. Residents listened intently as the ZooLab team shared interesting facts and answered questions, helping everyone gain a deeper appreciation for the animals and their unique characteristics.

Encounters like this offer much more than entertainment for our residents, they provide valuable opportunities for learning, social interaction, and sensory engagement. Seeing the residents so captivated and eager to participate was a wonderful reminder of how shared experiences can spark joy and connection.
